Madonna love letters remain under wraps
Exhibition organizers have denied reports they plan to display a series of intimate letters from Madonna to her former lover.
Bosses of the Simply Madonna show were said to be keen to make 17 letters the Material Girl wrote to bodyguard James Albright - which reportedly include references to their kinky sex life - public property by exhibiting them in London next year (09).
But a spokesman for the event says, "Not true. They aren't appearing and were never going to. I don't know where this story came from."
Simply Madonna, which features more than 300 personal items including clothes, photographs, film props, costumes and personal items belonging to the Holiday hitmaker, is due to run from 21 February (09) until 22 March (09) at London's Old Truman Brewery.
Duff's father jailed in birthday party row
Hilary Duff's father has been jailed for up to ten days after a bitter court row with his estranged wife over their famous daughter's 21st birthday party.
Susan and Bob Duff are currently in the middle of a two and a half year divorce battle. The hearing in Houston, Texas on Wednesday (27Aug08) was brought so Susan could request $25,000 from her husband to pay for their actress/singer daughter's celebration next month (28Sep08).
The judge ordered Duff to pay his estranged wife half that amount for the party, but after examining Duff's finances he also determined that he had violated an injunction by selling assets without court approval - and without the consent of his spouse.
Duff was ordered to pay the $367,537 he earned from selling stocks last month (Jul08) into a court repository and spend 10 days in jail for contempt of court.
Bob Duff's attorney Robert Piro said his client would post a bond and file an appeal against the sentence.
Ronson hits back at Lohan's father
Lindsay Lohan's rumored girlfriend Samantha Ronson has hit back at the actress' father after he accused the DJ of using his daughter to increase her public profile.
Dad Michael slammed Ronson earlier this week (beg25Aug08) after hearing rumors she is set to release a tell-all tome about her life with Lindsay.
And Ronson is furious about Michael Lohan's outburst. The DJ insists she is not planning a book and accuses Lohan of courting the press and profiting from his relationship with his famous daughter.
She writes on her MySpace.com blog, "(He) is so desperate for attention that he goes to the media whenever possible.
"I am not the reason that he has no contact with his daughter - I feel no need to publicly defend my role in Lindsay's life - I'm just sorry that she likes me more than him.
"I'm not the one that is so lost that I need to use my relationship with Lindsay to earn a living
. I am, always will and always have been here for her for her - not for anything else
.so I think it's safe to say that there is not now and never will be a tell all

Beckinsale + De Niro star at school awards night
Robert De Niro and Kate Beckinsale stunned pupils at an English school by handing out a gong at their end of year awards ceremony.
Film director Kirk Jones arranged the surprise for his son and fellow pupils at Davenies School in Buckinghamshire.
The stars appeared via video link and presented a teacher with a lifetime achievement award for her work with cub scouts.
Madonna meltdown at tour technical faults
Madonna was reportedly left furious after she kicked off the French leg of her Sticky + Sweet tour - after technical faults hindered her performance.
The pop superstar took to the stage in Nice, France on Tuesday (26Aug08) to perform to a packed out crowd, including Sir Elton John and Victoria and David Beckham.
But technical problems backstage meant the huge visual screens used throughout the show went blank during several songs.
And perfectionist Madonna was livid with her staff, according to the London Paper.
A source tells the publication, "Madonna sets very high standards for herself and for those working around her, so when things go wrong she gets annoyed."
And the presence of rocker Elton John, with who the Material Girl star has had a turbulent relationship, meant the slip-up was a double blow to Madonna.
The source adds, "With so many friends in the audience it was doubly annoying for her."
Duff not engaged
Hilary Duff is not engaged to hockey star MIKE COMRIE, according to pals.
The 20-year-old singer/actress sparked rumors she's taking her relationship with the sports star to the next level after being spotted sporting a sparkling ring on her wedding finger.
The snaps sent gossips into a spin earlier this month (Aug08) - leading them to speculate Comrie had proposed to the young star.
But the ring was just a gift and not an indicator of future nuptials, according to E! Online.
A source tells the website, "They're not engaged."
Mendes proud of racy ad
Eva Mendes is pleased her provocative Calvin Klein perfume ad caused such a stir - insisting the attention it garnered makes her more proud of showing off her body.
The advert, which sees the actress writhing around topless, was deemed too sexy to be shown on TV earlier this month (Aug08) - with several networks refusing to air the footage.
The saucy footage was also deemed too risque for the web as well, and was removed from clip-sharing website YouTube soon after it was uploaded.
But the sexy actress refuses to be ashamed of the ad, and felt she could push the boundaries as she was promoting such an iconic brand.
She says, "It makes me more proud. I'm sure if it was for some kind of independent brand that wasn't as iconic as Calvin Klein, I don't think I would have done it because that's too much of a risk."
"But when it's Calvin Klein and it's (fashion photographer) Steve Meisel shooting you and you get to be a part of this amazing iconic brand and their legacy, you just kind of go for it."
Aniston dines with Allen
Beloved moviemaker Woody Allen sparked reports suggesting Jennifer Aniston is set to become his new muse after inviting the former Friends star to dine with him and his wife in West Hollywood on Tuesday night (26Aug08).
The actress and a mystery date joined Allen and his wife Soon Yi in the shadows at top restaurant Madeo.
After the dinner, Aniston slipped out the back of the diner, while the director and his wife encountered the paparazzi out front.
There's no explanation as to why Allen and Aniston were dining together, but the filmmaker has been known to create roles for his favorite leading ladies. These have included Mia Farrow, Diane Keaton, and more recently, Scarlett Johansson.
Spears to take MTV stage with Phelps?
Britney Spears has reportedly launched a bid to return to the MTV stage for the forthcoming Video Music Awards accompanied by Olympic champion Michael Phelps.
Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton claims the eight-time Olympic gold medal winner is slated to appear as part of the outlandish awards show next month (Sep08).
Rumors of Spears' performance at the show were scrapped by manager Larry Rudolph earlier this week (25Aug08).
But, according to magazine Us Weekly, the Toxic singer is desperate to appear on the show as a presenter.
A source tells the magazine: "She hopes to share the stage with Michael Phelps."
The MTV VMAs show takes place on 7 September (08).
Stiller + Downey Jr. to reteam for animated movie
Ben Stiller and his Tropic Thunder co-star Robert Downey Jr. are to reteam for a new animated action movie called Master Mind.
The project began life as a regular action film, but Stiller chose to turn it into a cartoon when he took it to the bosses at Dreamworks.
He says, "It's a script that my company Red Hour got that was written as a live action movie but we thought it would work as an animated movie so we brought it to Jeffrey Katzenberg and now we're in pre-production.
"I'm in it and Robert Downey Jr. plays an evil superhero villain. Basicaly it's about a bad guy who loses to the good guy that he's fighting all the time, so he has to create another good guy for him to fight."
